"I made this project because there's many bad examples of what Hip Hop is. Nowadays rappers are doing EDM, Dubstep, Trap Music and they call it Hip Hop because someone is rapping. THAT IS NOT HIP HOP!!!! You have singers who think they spit a wack 16 and they call them HIP HOP???? THAT IS NOT HIP HOP!!!!!!!!!!!! So here I come, the underdog doing what I do best and that's Hip Hop Music. Why don't I have more EMCEES on my BEATS? Because THE GAME IS RIGGED!!!!!!!!! Time to have an Apocalypse!!!!!"

2012 came and went! Much like the Mayan prophesied end of days for Planet Earth. So here we are in 2013! What changes did we see in Hip Hop? Not many. But amidst the continuing mediocrity of music and madness that presently permeates the airwaves, I was able to put together a noteworthy playlist of Hip Hop crossing all genres and types. Artists like Big Boi, Sean Price, Lupe Fiasco, E40 and Too $hort all came with their best efforts to pen 2012 as not being a total loss to what makes Hip Hop still one of the most musically creative art forms that influence society today. So... as I always say....

JUGGERNAUT NETWORKS AT THE WMSTMO MAGAZINE LAUNCH PARTY

On the night of November 20th, at the Halftime Sports Bar in Downtown Oakland, CA, there was a great cause for celebration. Darnell Thomas, founder and CEO of the uniquely eclectic "webzine" What Millionaires Spend Their Money On (WMSTMO is the more common acronym) launched the second issue which features the beautiful yet humble actress/comedian/singer/spokesperson Brely Evans II on the sophomore magazine's cover. Bruce Bowers (Agent 85) was present at the scene representing for the revamped Juggernaut Networks, as well as Brely Evans II herself, Kash Brown of Kash Management, WMSTMO's world travelling promotions guru, Jack Ray and Brian Mims - Executive Producer of Brickhouse Television. The party was lively, while still atmospherically reminiscent of a class reunion. In all of the festivities and networking, everyone had a great time meeting, greeting and catching up on what's now and what's next.
WMSTMO is a new magazine (the first issue debuted in January of 2012) in an arena of a plethora of publications that showcase the lavish lifestyles of the rich and the wealthy. What sets this publication apart from its counterparts is the soul of the magazine itself and its mission it sets out to accomplish. "Overall, our goal is to inspire and empower our readers by: sharing real-life success stories of people who have “stepped out on faith”, created an action plan, and ultimately made a commitment to themselves to do the work", admits the magazine's founder Darnell Thomas.
Take the time to check out the magazine yourself, and become inspired by those we deem successful personalities like the Silicon Valley's lucratively successful realtor Gino Blefari, NBA Champion Gary Payton, the once poor now prosperous jewelry designer Ray Khan, Bay Area music legend Too $hort and many others like them who share their life stories of their accession to affluence. Click the cover above to experience WMSTMO magazine yourself. Subscribe and have access to all of the one on one interviews, as well as music compilations, music videos and a lot more.

Njoy the photos below and we'll see you on the WMSTMO site soon.

JUGGERNAUT RADIO - THE HIP HOP ANTHOLOGY PT. IX: THE 2000s

click the image above to download
When the year 2000 came around, Hip Hop took a long look at itself and found things had indeed changed. Those artists that came out in the 80s and early 90s were soon looked upon as the OGs and the music started to draw more attention to itself instead of the issues that was prevalent on the minds of the majority. Anthems abound. Art imitated life even more. And the art itself would start to meander into "shallow" waters (read: watered down hip hop). Fortunately, there were still artists that blazed the charts with great integrity like Dead Prez, Ghostface Killah, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien and Reflection Eternal (Talib and HiTek). And you'll find it all here. Juggernaut Radio is proud to present some of the best Hip Hop in the year 2000! So take a seat in the time capsule and celebrate with me as we usher in the next century.... WHERE HIP HOP LIVES!
