As Hip Hop rapidly approached Y2K, artists dug deep in the late 90s to produce some of the most creative and innovative music the decade would produce. Many artists like Nas, Ice Cube and Dr. Dre that were introduced in the beginning part of the decade would hit full stride, while the culture was introduced to new sounds and new styles by new artists like Mos Def, DMX, and Big Punisher. This show will help you remember the independent movement spurred on by Rawkus Records, as well as the introduction of one of Hip Hop's most controversial and perennial artists to ever grace music... a Detroit rapper named Eminem. This is Part VIII of the continuing chronicle of Juggernaut Radio's Hip Hop Anthology, the Late 90s.
