JUGGERNAUT NETWORKS AT THE WMSTMO MAGAZINE LAUNCH PARTY

On the night of November 20th, at the Halftime Sports Bar in Downtown Oakland, CA, there was a great cause for celebration. Darnell Thomas, founder and CEO of the uniquely eclectic "webzine" What Millionaires Spend Their Money On (WMSTMO is the more common acronym) launched the second issue which features the beautiful yet humble actress/comedian/singer/spokesperson Brely Evans II on the sophomore magazine's cover. Bruce Bowers (Agent 85) was present at the scene representing for the revamped Juggernaut Networks, as well as Brely Evans II herself, Kash Brown of Kash Management, WMSTMO's world travelling promotions guru, Jack Ray and Brian Mims - Executive Producer of Brickhouse Television. The party was lively, while still atmospherically reminiscent of a class reunion. In all of the festivities and networking, everyone had a great time meeting, greeting and catching up on what's now and what's next.
WMSTMO is a new magazine (the first issue debuted in January of 2012) in an arena of a plethora of publications that showcase the lavish lifestyles of the rich and the wealthy. What sets this publication apart from its counterparts is the soul of the magazine itself and its mission it sets out to accomplish. "Overall, our goal is to inspire and empower our readers by: sharing real-life success stories of people who have “stepped out on faith”, created an action plan, and ultimately made a commitment to themselves to do the work", admits the magazine's founder Darnell Thomas.
Take the time to check out the magazine yourself, and become inspired by those we deem successful personalities like the Silicon Valley's lucratively successful realtor Gino Blefari, NBA Champion Gary Payton, the once poor now prosperous jewelry designer Ray Khan, Bay Area music legend Too $hort and many others like them who share their life stories of their accession to affluence. Click the cover above to experience WMSTMO magazine yourself. Subscribe and have access to all of the one on one interviews, as well as music compilations, music videos and a lot more.

Njoy the photos below and we'll see you on the WMSTMO site soon.

JUGGERNAUT RADIO - THE HIP HOP ANTHOLOGY PT. IX: THE 2000s

click the image above to download

When the year 2000 came around, Hip Hop took a long look at itself and found things had indeed changed. Those artists that came out in the 80s and early 90s were soon looked upon as the OGs and the music started to draw more attention to itself instead of the issues that was prevalent on the minds of the majority. Anthems abound. Art imitated life even more. And the art itself would start to meander into "shallow" waters (read: watered down hip hop). Fortunately, there were still artists that blazed the charts with great integrity like Dead Prez, Ghostface Killah, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien and Reflection Eternal (Talib and HiTek). And you'll find it all here. Juggernaut Radio is proud to present some of the best Hip Hop in the year 2000! So take a seat in the time capsule and celebrate with me as we usher in the next century.... WHERE HIP HOP LIVES!

JUGGERNAUT RADIO: THE HIP HOP ANTHOLOGY PT. VIII - THE LATE 90s

As Hip Hop rapidly approached Y2K, artists dug deep in the late 90s to produce some of the most creative and innovative music the decade would produce. Many artists like Nas, Ice Cube and Dr. Dre that were introduced in the beginning part of the decade would hit full stride, while the culture was introduced to new sounds and new styles by new artists like Mos Def, DMX, and Big Punisher. This show will help you remember the independent movement spurred on by Rawkus Records, as well as the introduction of one of Hip Hop's most controversial and perennial artists to ever grace music... a Detroit rapper named Eminem. This is Part VIII of the continuing chronicle of Juggernaut Radio's Hip Hop Anthology, the Late 90s.

D-SEW DOES IT HERSELF

D-Sew, our counterpart in the UK, has been entrenched in the London Hip Hop scene for quite some time. It was only a matter of time before she would step from behind the DJ mic and pick up the emcee one. In an industry where female emcees are far more the exception than the norm, its refreshing to see that DSew is not deterred in creating her own imprint in a creatively challenged industry. Here were her thoughts on her project...

"This is a very special EP, my first one. It was created during the seasons of change from Winter to Spring and then finally being released in Summer 2012. It signifies that you can follow your dreams and do it yourself always with love, with determination, happiness, with strength, purpose, with struggle and hope, with a soul and with heart. Hoping to give the listener emotions and delivering thoughts of opinions of DSew as a writer and vocalist. The entire journey and working with DJ Woool has felt so natural and has been a blessed one."

JUGGERNAUT RADIO - HIP HOP ANTHOLOGY PTVII - THE MID to LATE 90s

CLICK IMAGE TO DOWNLOAD THE SHOW
Do you remember? 1995-1997 was pivotal for Hip Hop. We lost 3 of the biggest artists of that era and the art of Hip Hop finally caught up to real life situations. No longer were artists just beefing on wax, but the squabble crossed over into the plane of reality. For the first time, the community felt the threat and the danger of Hip Hop through media, moguls and the masses. Though we lost artists Eazy E in 1995, 2Pac in 1996 and The Notorious B.I.G. in 1997, the music still lived on and a lot of great music was born from this time period. Juggernaut Radio is proud to share Hip Hop from both coasts including Naughty By Nature, Above The Law, Lord Finesse, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Ras Kass and a special tribute all the way from Ericson Music out of Sweden. RIP to the big 3. DOWNLOAD/LISTEN/BE REMINDED!

Juggernaut Radio presents Hip Hop's favorite past time. What Juggernaut Radio decided to do on this day though was to look back and share with our fans the Hip Hop that was inspired by this particular day (or time...or code), by some of their favorite artists over the years. It wasn't hard to pull up "cannabis classics" by the likes of Method Man & Redman, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Mic Geronimo, Ice Cube and more... As the 80's ended in Hip Hop, Hip Hop didn't end in the 80s. In fact, it continued to grow and spread its influence all over the planet. By the time the early 90s approached, Ice Cube and Will Smith's careers hit full stride when they charted heavy both in film, television and the music charts. New artists burst on the scene leaving behind their legacy like 2Pac and Snoop Dogg. Producers like Teddy Riley and DJ Premiere's talents caught fire in the music world. And this was all just a tip of the iceberg of the impending storm of Hip Hop artists to come! Once again, we chronicled for you some of those defining artists in this era including NWA, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Digital Underground and of course, the late Heavy D.

JUGGERNAUT RADIO - HIP HOP ANTHOLOGY: THE LATE 80s

There is little argument that in the late 80s Hip Hop experienced a serious creative spurt of originality in both the music and the lyrical flow. The attention shifted from the DJ taking center stage (though DJs still played a very crucial role in developing an artist's signature sound) to the MC moving toward the forefront. Now, record companies were starting to take Hip Hop seriously and artists found themselves on signing lucrative deals (Mantronix is the first Hip Hop act in history to receive a seven figure music contract). Juggernaut Radio presents Hip Hop in the late 80s with artists like Public Enemy, Slick Rick, Too $hort, De La Soul, NWA, MC Lyte and a whole lot more artists who contributed to shaping Hip Hop's most defining moment in its young history.

JUGGERNAUT RADIO - OCCUPY HIP HOP

2011 marked the year of occupation. The American people nationwide posted up right within the vicinities of corporations, government offices and anywhere else they could be seen/heard/understood to publicly declare their disgust of corporate greed and the shady politics that promote/condone it. Juggernaut Radio took it a step further. We decided this go 'round to OCCUPY HIP HOP! Let's take the music back and let THE PEOPLE determine its worth... Not record execs, not corporate suits, not even some of these media outlets. The Liks, Agent 85, The Coup, KRS 1, and special guest DAMION GLASS (Bay Area talent) + a special message from a high profile leader (y'all know who it is..)

My goal, as always, is to leave a lasting impression on your mind in pushing my limits of creativity while giving you food for thought. That is and will always be my mission in the projects I execute".-Agent 85.
85 CONFIDENTIAL is set to release this spring on Juggernaut Records, LLC. Please visit AGENT 85'S OFFICIAL WEBSITE for continued updates on the development of this project.
