Then Radio with The Collective (The Saint, Miss Chris, Dr. Ande and Jamitta)to see what he's been up to. Also special guests Epiphany and LA producer Smoke Meezy clicking the link below. Today is the day! 40 acres and a mule? Not quite. But at least the burning question to who is John D.O.E. will finally be answered! John D.O.E. will be making his first full on public appearance tonight in Modesto at GameStop's Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Midnight Release. He will be on site to promote his new mixtape, aptly titled "WHO IS...JOHN D.O.E.", and his new single that's sure to garner critical acclaim amongst the collegiate demographic "Drum Major". If you will be in the Modesto area (especially if you will be picking up Modern Warfare 2 anyways), make sure you come out to the midnight release block party. 3501 MCHENRY AVE. MODESTO, CA 95350. (209) 858-8746.

Once in a great while an artist comes along and changes how you view Hip Hop. You think of artists like Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes and even OutKast and the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear these artists is C-R-E-A-T-I-V-I-T-Y. These artists are not afraid to step out of the box and hit you with something new or edgy. The challenge that these artists met (and conquered) was they were able to be unique without losing themselves in their artistry. Most of us got what it was that they were trying to do. So what does Juggernaut Records newest artist John D.O.E. have to do with all of this? Who is John D.O.E.? What does the acronym D.O.E. mean? Before I answer these questions, first ask yourself this...
On New Year's Day this year, a young man in the Bay Area by the name of Oscar Grant was pulled out of a BART car, thrown to the ground, beaten, cuffed and shot to death by one of the city's police officers. The young man had no weapon and was defenseless at the time of his slaying. I'm sure you've heard the story before (and if you haven't, you need to click the link below and visit the Caravan For Justice site). Juggernaut Records, LLC has teamed up with local community organizations and artists, like the Revolutionary Hip Hop Report, JT the Bigga Figga and the NAACP Youth Council and others from all over the Bay Area and the Central Valley to participate in a festival to educate us all about the growing problem of the abuse of the law enforcement agencies in our communities and how to handle these issues. So if you are anywhere in the 209, please come support the worthy cause as well as enjoy the free food and entertainment provided by Northern Cali's prolific artists and speakers. This is an ALL AGES event. The information and line-up is on the flyer.

"To the East my brothers and sisters, to the East..." If you were even thought of back in the early 90's then you know exactly what I'm talkin' about. X Clan was making major waves in the music industry with members Professor X, Brother J, DJ Suga Shaft and Isis (and there were others). If you don't remember them, Now Vs. Then took the opportunity to reacquaint you all with the female trailblazing emcee Lin-Que formerly Isis. Take a moment to check out the interview and see what she's been up to post the X Clan era.

Are you kidding me??? Wise Intelligent arrested like a low life drug dealer in his hometown of Trenton, New Jersey??? This is ridiculous!!! U know fam, I had to take some time out and put my ear out there and hear the injustices ring out against ALL OF US that represent the Hip Hop culture to the fullest. My thoughts and prayers go out to this man I speak about right here. I'm not gonna go ballistic and go on a rampage about what happened to one of Hip Hop's most down to earth icons, WISE INTELLIGENT. Click his name and read for yourself the reason for my "rantations" (to all of you literate, gramatically correct futhamuckaz - I know that's not a word, hence the quotations). Ok I'm done. Big shout out to DAVEY D for bringin' this situation to my attention. Now back to our regularly scheduled Juggernaut broadcast...
I know it is still fresh in everybody's minds and hearts the day we witnessed the passing of THE greatest entertainer of all time. No one has touched the lives and hearts of so many people on a worldwide scale as Michael Jackson. He will be missed but still revered and appreciated. Instead of me turning this into a long, drawn out second hand eulogy, it gives me great honor to re-introduce Gee-O, the World Coast Supreme DJ, Producer and Master Mixer. He has given us a great podcast to download and play in our cars and on our computers worldwide. Featuring some of Michael's greatest hits and artists with songs of tribute and dedication, this is probably one of Gee-O's most relevant Mix Tapes he's ever shared with the world. Xperience it! And let's listen together and reminisce on the times we were awed by the King! RIP Michael Jackson. 1love...and 1hope.
